Description

Ultra-creamy, cheesy stovetop mac that’s made for busy weeknights. Comfort in 20 minutes flat!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups elbow macaroni (or shells if you’re feeling fancy)
  • 2 cups milk (whole milk = max creaminess)
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1½ cups shredded sharp cheddar
  • ½ cup mozzarella (for that pull!)
  • Salt, pepper, and a lil paprika if you’re bold

Instructions

  1. Boil your pasta till al dente. Don’t let it get mushy, okay? Drain and set aside.
  2. In the same pot, melt butter and whisk in the flour—you’re making a quick roux.
  3. Slowly add milk while whisking. Let it thicken (takes like 3–5 mins).
  4. Add your cheeses, stir till it’s gooey heaven.
  5. Toss in the pasta, season, stir, and BOOM—you just made creamy mac.
  6. Optional but highly encouraged: Eat it straight from the pot. No judgment.

Notes

Use freshly shredded cheese for max meltiness. Add cooked bacon or peas if you want to jazz it up.
