Description
Ultra-creamy, cheesy stovetop mac that’s made for busy weeknights. Comfort in 20 minutes flat!
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups elbow macaroni (or shells if you’re feeling fancy)
- 2 cups milk (whole milk = max creaminess)
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp flour
- 1½ cups shredded sharp cheddar
- ½ cup mozzarella (for that pull!)
- Salt, pepper, and a lil paprika if you’re bold
Instructions
- Boil your pasta till al dente. Don’t let it get mushy, okay? Drain and set aside.
- In the same pot, melt butter and whisk in the flour—you’re making a quick roux.
- Slowly add milk while whisking. Let it thicken (takes like 3–5 mins).
- Add your cheeses, stir till it’s gooey heaven.
- Toss in the pasta, season, stir, and BOOM—you just made creamy mac.
- Optional but highly encouraged: Eat it straight from the pot. No judgment.
Notes
Use freshly shredded cheese for max meltiness. Add cooked bacon or peas if you want to jazz it up.
