- 6 medium apples (Honeycrisp or Fuji)
- ¼ cup brown sugar (packed)
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- ½ tsp nutmeg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp butter, sliced
- Optional: splash of water or apple juice
Instructions
- Peel, core, and thickly slice the apples.
- Place apple slices in the slow cooker.
- Sprinkle with brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Drizzle with vanilla extract and lemon juice.
- Dot with butter slices.
- Cover and cook on HIGH for 2.5 to 3 hours, or LOW for 5 to 6 hours.
- Stir gently before serving.
Notes
Great served warm with ice cream, oatmeal, or just by the spoonful straight from the slow cooker.
